Just beyond the waterfall off Old Tarrytown Road lies Winding Ridge Condominium. This award-winning luxury community has 120 semi-attached town homes that overlook 39 acres designated as a Conservation District by the Town of Greenburgh. Amenities include a clubhouse with fitness center, outdoor tennis court and pool, and tot lot. Winding Ridge offers country club living yet is only minutes away from the heart of Westchester.
The National Association of Home Builders presented Winding Ridge with its 2000 Community Design Award, partly owing to developer GDC’s extensive use of landscaping that incorporates natural elements such as stone outcroppings and mature trees.
Since 2000, the Winding Ridge community has been fulfilling much of its turn-of-the-millennium promise. If one word can characterize 120 households, it would probably be diversity. A walk down Winding Ridge Road can bring one in touch with neighbors from all over the world, speaking a variety of tongues. Resident ages range from 12 months to 92 years. To that, add a myriad of professional and personal backgrounds, talents, and travel experiences. Languages abound: Most of the children now living here are bi-lingual or tri-lingual.
Each family has brought gifts to the community. The richness of their contributions over the years continues to add to treasures that Winding Ridge pays forward to those who make their home here.
The latest of these contributions is Winding Ridge Online, the community's new website. We are excited to be able to offer such a rich and versatile resource, not only for the conveniences it makes possible for each of us, but for the ways it can facilitate a more cohesive community.
This website is a work in progress, and will be evolving for some years to come. We hope you will take some time to explore its pages, what it offers, and what it doesn't. Something you'd like us to add? Find a typo? Have an idea for making it easier, more useful, friendly, beautiful, or inviting? . . .and we'll see what we can do. There's nothing like shared creativity to make a place feel like home.
